Fees
How fees work
Your fee is given to you in writing before your first visit.
Insurance we work with
Preston Trail is out of network with insurance plans, so you pay for each visit yourself. We do not bill Medicare or Medicaid. If you would rather have a prescriber who bills your plan, we will give you the names of colleagues who do.
Out of network with insurance plans
No Medicare or Medicaid billing
If you pay yourself
You pay at the end of each visit by card, and HSA and FSA cards work. Your fee is set by the length of the visit, and you get it in writing before the first visit. A limited number of reduced-fee visits are held each month; ask when you write. We ask for 24 hours' notice to change or cancel a visit, and your written estimate says what a late cancellation costs.
Receipts for reimbursement
After a visit you can have an itemized receipt (a superbill) with the date, the kind of visit and a diagnosis code, to send to your plan. Your insurer can see the code. Your plan decides whether it reimburses any of the cost, so ask it before you start.
An estimate in advance
If you pay without insurance, you have the right to a written Good Faith Estimate of what care will cost, before you start. We send yours after you write and before the first visit. If a bill comes to $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it. The estimate is not a contract.
Checking your benefits
We do not check benefits, because we do not bill your plan. To find out whether it reimburses out-of-network care, call the number on your card before the first visit and ask about out-of-network mental health benefits for your child.
What the first visit includes
The first session is 75 minutes with the parent or guardian and the child, and a written plan afterward. Follow-up visits run 20 to 30 minutes. Pharmacy and lab charges come from the pharmacy and the lab, not from Preston Trail.
In plain words
What a visit costs
We do not list fees on this site. Your fee depends on the length of the visit, and we send it to you in writing, with a Good Faith Estimate, before the first visit. There are no fees for reading our policies or writing to us.
If the fee is a barrier, tell us when you write. A limited number of reduced-fee visits are held each month, and if we cannot offer one, we will help you find a colleague who can.
